I was surprised when I heard An Horse was opening for Wintersleep tonight. They’re a band I’ve wanted to see ever since I heard about them via Tegan and Sara. It was a great show, but what really caught my attention was Damon Cox’s drumming which would fit wonderfully into the sound of our band. I have a feeling I’m going to be listening to their new album quite a bit over the next few days to pick up some new sounds to work into our music.
Wintersleep was fantastic as well. They’re kind of a jammy band and the whole show sounded great. Huge build up and release in the last song which built on some amazing drumming.
